Prime Minister George Papandreou travelled to Paris on March 19 to take part in an emergency meeting of European, US and Arab leaders on the crisis in Libya.

Later on Saturday, Papandreou addressed a conference of Socialist International members at the Acropolis Museum, reiterating that "the message of the international community via UN Security Council resolution 1973 is clear and there is no way we will tolerate the murder of innocent civilians."

On his part, Foreign Minister Dimitris Droutsas said that "we are prepared to assist, in cooperation with our partners and allies, so that international legality may be respected."

The exceptional exhibition The Ancient Greeks in Croatia is currently being hosted at the City Museum of Ljubljana in Slovenia from March 3 to May 30.

The highlight of the exhibition is the bronze full-size statue of the Apoxiomen -an athlete shown scraping dust and oil from his body- which was discovered to the southeast of the island of Lošinj.
